Power to the Poster

Grayscale photos, abstract collages, organic shapes, Arabic letterforms, and traditional Syrian mosaics.

4 Corners

by Rima Massasati

#global, #refugees

The way grayscale photos, abstract collages, organic shapes, Arabic letterforms, and traditional Syrian mosaics all collide together in black and white is just so beautiful. As is the purpose of the project. One designer, doing what she can.

Project via Rima Massasati:

I wanted to utilize my skill as a designer. From the four corners of my screen to the four corners of a poster, I created an abstract series to spread awareness about the stories of the refugees. I incorporated traditional Syrian patterns, mosaics, geometry, calligraphy, and sculptures. This work inspired 4 Corners, a charity project intended to inspire the design community to contribute. Whether it be donating food and medical supplies, or art materials to fuel the kids’ creativity; every little contribution in our eyes was largely magnified when they reached the refugees.
